randoms before the break
shot some portraits with carolina and tif yesterday, but because of the olympics it took carol a while longer than usual to get to school! stupid buses were re-routed and traffic everywhere has been slowed down… so in the studio, I spent some time in contemplation…
well more like sitting without thinking at all = vegetable = me.

later last night i went to see the olympic torch relay pass by the Richmond o-zone, the dude looked like he was jogging but was actually going at walking speed. it took them 3.5 hours to go across a few blocks -_- (no! run! but.. run slower!)

i put off all my work until the last minute. i have to melt some candies for my theory project this friday… going to make a valentines candy monster. should be fun.

foto fun
i got this brush set off of brusheezy… i should really get a better hobby.
and the photos i took of emma on wednesday! when i got the camera from my brother i forgot to change it from jpg to raw, FAIL.
there are three more on my flicker account, I might re-shoot when emma is not so spotty from her (measles? allergies?? D: not sure what it is!!) … :S :S :S I hope she gets better soon!
orange!
so after soldering a bunch of stuff to a circuit board for our digital media class, we had to go for this project orientation my professor is involved in. the instructions said it’s held at emily carr, just look for a giant orange dot. and they weren’t kidding.

the professor told us about all the projects, things we have to tell visitors if they come to ask questions while the show is open. and then afterward Tif and I went to have our second lunch (our first lunch were expensive hotdogs from the market):

clam/corn chowder!!! the top was sooo good. it was super flaky though, I made such a mess from eating it. we were staring at the doggy outside until (her?) owner – a lady wearing a coat made from more than one type of animal print – came and took her away.
and of course, we passed by all the yummy delicious desserts in the granville island market but had to leave them alone because two lunches doesn’t really leave room for dessert :P

don’t worry strawberry / cheese cake / lemon / tart (and eclairs! [and pies!!!]), i will come for you next Thursday :9 HOW DO THE EMILY CARR STUDENTS DO THIS.. so close to this place.. I’d skip class just to rob this place and stuff my face all afternoon :9
More Olympics

Everyday there’s a little bit more of the Olympics decoration being put up, another area being cleaned and prepared to receive tourists… The other day I was downtown and all the buses were flashing “Welcome, World” on their displays =)
Busy these days with different things, would be nice to finish something soon!
Fiyah!
Last night we went to Ebisu on Robson for Edwin’s birthday, it was kind of awesome. We ordered a ton of yummy rolls, sashimi salad and a very interesting udon. The flaming saba was very entertaining, our end of the table was like WUUUUUAAAAAHHHHH (or at least I was) when the server was torching our saba, it was super cool. The other people in the restaurant who ordered that looked so bored when theirs came, maybe I’m just easily amused -_-

We ordered lots of alcohol for the birthday boy of course, but he was being kind of pansy about it because no one else was really drinking. We got four Bear Huggers for him (50% alcohol! :P the Ebisu drinks menus include all the percentages for each drink, it’s kinda nice knowing how much is in each one). And then a bunch of girlier drinks like pornstar, skyline, chyna white, orgasm haha… Why do they have dirty names!??!? Oh well I suppose sex sells ;)
More yummy sushi and japanese food tonight for my birthday dinner :9 excited to see all my friends together again =D

love to doodle in class, read chick lit, and drink hot chocolate. high heels, french songs,
lace camisoles and sheep. tea parties,
incense, & kindness in mind.
