key to life

February 27, 2010

After watching many episodes of How I Met Your Mother I have FINALLY found the key to life… Whenever you’re feeling down, beaten, or really depressed, you should always apply Barney Stinson’s outlook on being sick.

Instead just say to yourself:

“Whenever I’m feeling ___________, I just stop feeling ___________, and be AWESOME instead.”

ex. your midterm is on Monday and you still have 2 chapters and (less than 10 but definitely more than 3) articles left to read and the Gold Medal game for ice hockey is on the last day before the Midterm and there’s really no time to go out to enjoy all the Olympic-ness of the city, just say to yourself:

Whenever I’m feeling totally screwed from procrastinating before the midterm, I just stop feeling totally screwed from procrastinating before the midterm, and be AWESOME instead.

and everything will sort itself out :) because I’m AWESOME.

Upcoming Olympic Withdrawl

What’s that? Gold medal game? Canada’s awesome? Yeah we knew.

I’ve been just soaking up the awesome Olympic-ness of this city, sadly I haven’t had a chance to go to the coke pavilion yet… Maybe do it tomorrow.

Figure skating was insane, Kim Yu-Na owned everyone. Moguls? AWESOME. Bobsleigh? AWESOME. Ice dance? AWESOME AWESOME. Short track? AWESOME. Snowboard? AWESOME. Figure Skating? BRONZE-ingly AWESOME.

Hockey! GOING TO BE SO AWESOME ON SUNDAY. We beat Russia and the Slovakian team were pretty intense and put up a good fight, but we are the ones going into the gold medal game yeayuhhhhhh USA watch out! because it’s going to be a whole new level of

wait for it…

AWESOME.

I was looking up photos of Sidney Crosby and instead of posting a photo of him naked (hot!), here is one that will also melt your heart (but in a totally warm, hot chocolate, non-pedo way)

baby sidney crosby awww

OLP

we got to the ozone about an hour before OLP came on, and were shoved many times by the crazy caucasian people, all looking for their “cousins” at the front of the crowd. I have a feeling I will really hate mosh pits if I were ever in one -_-

Going to see deadmau5 tonight! hopefully nobody gets hurt, there seems to be a LOT an exodus of people planning on going :P

lols the line to get in was close to 5 city blocks long, and they closed the gates an hour after we got there. good thing we didn’t line up -_- but there’s seriously lines for EVERYTHING in vancouver these two weeks… for the skytrain, for the bathroom, to get into certain buildings… it’s crazy!!! took us 1.5 hours to get into the heineken house and I didn’t even feel like drinking heineken after I got in :( disappointment.

Good x 4

F.I.R. performing at Richmond Ozone

Happy Chinese New year! Happy Valentines day!! And I just got home from a free F.I.R. concert!! Hells yeah!!! And Canada won its first GOLD on home soil!!! Hells yeah x 4!!!!

Alex Bilodeau kicked some mogul ass.

I am so tired.

but F.I.R. was worth the 3 hour wait =) the lead singer is so cute! There were some shows before they came on, and some guy named William dressed like Hard Gay who was really buff and mediocre at singing and he was really really sparkly and shiny.

!!!!! such a good day :)

except the bitches who pushed their way in front of Emma and I, they came pretty late and were our height and I had to tip toe to get a clear view… But we were literally 2 meters away from the stage – we thought it would’ve been the most awesome distance because we wouldn’t need to crane our necks… Wish we stood at the very front though, didn’t think about stupid tall people.

but still awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

vancouver on the olympic map!!!

olympic winter games opening ceremony

just finished watching the opening ceremony for the 2010 winter games, it was pretty awesome. I missed the beginning, but overall I think we did a great job! So much Canadian pride right now hehe

To quote someone off of twitter, “queers, punks, and poetry, perfect opening for the olympics”!!! The mix was definitely interesting and my favourite part was the peter pan dancer in the prairies with Joni Mitchell in the background. and then KD Lang!! seeing steve nash and wayne gretzky was pretty awesome too. although the hydraulic torch was pretty fail on our part, it’s the most EPIC part of the ceremony and it didn’t work properly!!! ??? !!!

Now it’s not really comparable to the Beijing Olympics ceremony but in terms of the amount of PEOPLE they have and the amount of people WE have… I would have to say the over all atmosphere was pretty great =)

Go Canada Go!!!! <3
