Last night we went to Ebisu on Robson for Edwin’s birthday, it was kind of awesome. We ordered a ton of yummy rolls, sashimi salad and a very interesting udon. The flaming saba was very entertaining, our end of the table was like WUUUUUAAAAAHHHHH (or at least I was) when the server was torching our saba, it was super cool. The other people in the restaurant who ordered that looked so bored when theirs came, maybe I’m just easily amused -_-

flaming saba

We ordered lots of alcohol for the birthday boy of course, but he was being kind of pansy about it because no one else was really drinking. We got four Bear Huggers for him (50% alcohol! :P the Ebisu drinks menus include all the percentages for each drink, it’s kinda nice knowing how much is in each one). And then a bunch of girlier drinks like pornstar, skyline, chyna white, orgasm haha… Why do they have dirty names!??!? Oh well I suppose sex sells ;)

More yummy sushi and japanese food tonight for my birthday dinner :9 excited to see all my friends together again =D

choco vag

I bought a chocolate vagina yesterday from the UBC VDAY stand. Vday is a movement to end violence against girls and women. Every year we have a Vagina Monologue show to support V-day, I should really get around to watching the show since it’s my last year. I think they used to sell tshirts that say I Love My Vagina, but they’re always sold out because it’s so popular. I should get one of those too.

Nom nom nom ;)

1. Johnny Depp

this one’s a bonus because charlotte gainsbourg is in it too <3 and radiohead. can't beat that.

2. (young) Brad Pitt

3. Se7en

song’s not great. but his english is pretty good! i’m a little impressed.

4. Taeyang

he’s kind of emo in this but… still kind of hot none the less.

5. James Franco

I’ve never even seen that movie but … Yeah.

THIS IS CHEATING BUT I’M CROSSING JAMES FRANCO OFF FOR GASPARD ULLIEL >_> after seeing his picture from Leanne’s list I youtubed him and I think it’s really just the French that got to me *u*

5. Gaspard Ulliel

I like how, in the interview, he was saying it’s good having had a barrier between his fans and him.. because we all know what I’d do if he was ever within 10 meters of me ;)

actually he’s kind of hotter than taeyang.. and possibly even se7en (sorry I am completely reforming to the Yellow Fever asian girl stereotype (caucasian guys > asian guys lol … NOT ALWAYS OKAY??) but yeah.)

so

1. johnny depp
2. young brad pitt
3. gaspard ulliel
4. se7en
5. taeyang

6. james franco

Blanket Hero

miga blanketMy parents went and bought a bunch of Vancouver 2010 stuff because my parents like that kind of stuff… Usually I would be weary of event products because they’re kind of pointless but the Vancouver 2010 mascots are so damn cute! EVILLLL. MUST BUY.

I think a lot of my friends all have the stuffed toys, a lot of people really like Quatchi, he almost kind of reminds me of Domo :P My favourite happens to be Miga and Mukmuk, but for some reason mukmuk isn’t really a mascot, he’s kind of just a fan… but so cute!!! you can watch a video of mukmuk by clicking here. I looked up what marmots really look like, and um, well, they can be cute SOMETIMES… They remind me of small beavers :/

a real marmot

Anyway today my mom and I went to the Bay to exchange this weird hat they bought for something I might like better, and I got a Miga blanket =D it’s soooo soft and when I saw it I envisioned me wearing it like a cape all day long…

I don’t think I’ll ever grow up.

if you like the mascots and want some things I think you can buy them from here. I’m kind of glad that something fun came out of this event, because I’m really not looking forward to all the tourists and crowds :/

today i went back to coquitlam (where i used to live for 11 years) for one of my best friend’s birthday dinner… it was weird (but really awesome) to hang out with high school people! can’t believe it’s been almost four years, and it’s weird because a lot of things have happened and changed since then. some people we know had babies, got married, got engaged after having babies, or went abroad, or went modeling, etc etc.

and then after dinner we planned on going to a local pub but the line up was so long, I would’ve had to leave by the time we got in :/ there were MASSES of people… it’s like everyone in coquitlam decided there was nowhere else to hang out except at “the dew”. it was only 9:30 but it looked like the front of a popular club at 11:30, if that makes any sense :P

i’m boring myself. I think I will shut up now and go to sleep.
