orange bunny

I’m not sure what happened here.

Well, I saw a running bunny in my dried-up orange peel.

listening to feist’s let it die album, Lok lent it to me last night :bear: yesterday was very eventful.

granville

granville street is still under construction :/

after anthropology class, carol and i bussed downtown and had lunch at a quiet sushi place  and then we met up with our class at the VAG to look at the exhibitions. after that lok shopped for comic books and back to richmond where he bought beer, he was very thirsty and blames Oscar for working at a liquor store. then we went back to lok’s place, fed his friend’s very fat cat, and we made spaghetti with pesto sauce, beef/tomatoes/eggs for dinner :burger: and he showed me all the photos of the food he made while he’s living alone and we discussed our projects for our theory class. our back up plan was to make a shrine for a made-up religion of following and worshiping a glorious marshmallow being, it’s kind of awesome.

and then we went on a marshmallow run!

marshmalians

and it was yummy.

and then I taught lok how to make rice. HE IS ASIAN, OWNS A RICE COOKER, AND DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO MAKE RICE (his mom usually made rice for him). but all is well now, i think he knows how to make rice after i taught him… guys are kind of clueless without their moms, aren’t they? !!! ??? :star:

1500 words is a lot of words… For a generation that communicates in less than 140 characters at a time, 1500 words takes an eternity to churn out. I really shouldn’t complain though… I already had to write an 8-10 page paper in first year, this is nothing compared to some people’s final thesis which can accumulate to 30 pages or more. I just really hate writing for theory because the professor is in her own world.

Maybe this is why I like photographs… It can easily say a lot, without having to use words at all =)

(this photo doesn’t really say much though, haha.. It was the only good one from today)

I’ve received royal mail! My best friend from elementary school, Julie, is in England on exchange and I just got a lovely post card from her :) I wonder how cheap the chocolate are in England? I didn’t notice the chocolate while I was there, although 3 days doesn’t really do justice especially when most of it was spent on a tour bus :P I can only imagine what an awesome time she must be having, I saw some of her class photos from her field trips and it’s all really amazing!

Otherwise there’s nothing exciting in my life these days. Just the same old routine of going to school, coming home, riding the bus a lot etc.

rose garden

on good days the path from the bus loop to my class is wonderful, like a few days ago when it was foggy when I was passing the rose garden. the air was absolutely amazingly fresh, one of the best things about living in BC.

rain

while the other days I can only appreciate being inside the bus or a classroom because it’s so wet outside. *snuggles winter coat*

inner contemplation which is felt unconsciously in the heart. beauty which emerges from inside objects…

so difficult! but so simple at the same time :/

anyway, autumn was definitely here, and now with the rain it seems like autumn was only 2 days and now we have an eternity of winter before the spring comes. *hides indoors, hermit mode ON!*
