happy early chinese new year :)

yay. around this time every year i am put on the phone for the most awkward conversations of my life. not only is the reception bad (since it’s long distance) but my mandarin skills only go so far… and i guess if i talk to them on the phone it’s disrespectful, and i wouldn’t want to be since i don’t want to be outed from the inheritance.

JOKES JOKES! haha… i only have one grandma left and she saves newspaper to use as table cloth, so i wouldn’t be hoping for much even if i was depending on inheriting anything :P she’s too cute for that. plus she raised me for most of my childhood. i think i just hate being on the phone with relatives because i am not fluent in chinese :/ most of the time when i am forced to speak mandarin i bat my eyes, twirl my hair and use my charming appearance to make up for the lack of vocabulary.

permanently thinking about art stuffs

i went to school yesterday to develop my negatives. i was disappointed that i would have so many over exposed photos again :/ but at least i got a good number of them for the assignment :D there’s some shots just to show the focus of the lens, some high / low contrast. then there’s the backlit photos of the weird reeds, some “freezing subject” shots of oscar jumping xD and some more LED light fun at the bottom of the contact sheet.

i am feeling quite broke from buying supplies, i wish i had been smarter and salvaged my photo paper from high school but i doubt that would’ve worked anyway because it would have been expired? the 100 pieces of 8×10 and 10 pieces of 11×14 came to a total of 79 dollars. prease donate some money to meeee… i am not sure how you would, since i don’t have any donation accounts. i am thinking about putting up ads for my blog to get some pocket change, seeing as how i will be working only one shift a week at my part-time job and the union and government pretty much takes all of it away :cry: *moth flies out of wallet*

photo seems to be the most structured course, the others are a total disappointment. i have to say i am not putting in very much effort to my other classes but here is a drawing i did in class. please feel free to feed my ego by telling me it looks like what it’s supposed to be.

digital SLRs don’t require expensive film or expensive chemicals or high percentage of failure. but i had fun taking the photos with my regular SLR anyway. yee haw i managed to draw a domo-kun!

went to downtown with bobo and dindon today… didn’t buy anything but ate a ton of korean food. beer was good. hectic day tomorrow… requires drawing with my blender or mixer, developing film and working at stupidstore. bahh.

fawk i am SO TIRED. work sucks balls. i went out for a photoshoot today … i need more time this weekend to do my drawing and develop my negatives + do a contact sheet. bahhhhhhh!!!!!!
